Out of Surgery...

Maria just got out of surgery about 1:00. She was in surgery for about 5 1/2 hours. It went well. She will NOT even have to go to ICU! What great news! The doctor said he removed 40% of her liver and burnt some tumors, took her gallbladder and she only lost about a can and a half (coke size)of blood. Forgive me if the info is not totally correct, as I am writing what was told to me second hand, and I am not an expert on medical terms. Maria has a long road ahead, but is certainly a fighter. Prayers are being answered. We love you Maria, and only hope for a quick recovery!

Maria and Nick, James and McKenzie are sending their love too. James asks about you a lot and he was so happy to hear that the surgery went well (after a lot of explaining about what surgery is). We send our love and well wishes. Get well soon Maria!!

Maria is doing great! She was up and walking around yesterday. She said the pain meds. are working just fine. She is so grateful for all the support and fasting the members have done for her. The Dr. is talking in terms of years to Maria insted of months. She is looking forward to having more time with Nick.

We will be passing around a sign up sheet this Sunday of times ladies can help out at Maria's for the next month or so while she recovers.

Maria, you are an awesome lady and a great example of faith and determination. We love you and are so grateful to be able to help you and support you. We know you would do the same for any of us.
